All of TALO’s staff work together with the mission to provide measurable performance development, with transparency and accountability, to athletes young and experienced.

We work as a team to assess athletes’ needs, develop training programs, monitor sports science data for progress and to identify struggles along the way. Our goal is to find the right people who can bring their individual values, perspective, and skills to our evolving system. Coaches only spend a maximum of half their work time with clients so they can contribute with program monitoring, development, and continuous education daily.

Performance Coach (S&C & Sports Science)

Description

Performance Coaches are responsible for performing objective performance evaluations, developing performance improvement plans, deliver training sessions with professional coaching skills, and monitor data from training and athlete progress.

These responsibilities include designing holistic performance development and management programs that address mobility, power, speed & agility, strength and energy systems development. It is also essential that coaches have the ability to communicate effectively with athletes and families to develop trusting relationships based on transparency and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in S&C related fields including Exercise Science, Kinesiology, Exercise Physiology, and Sports Science.

  • Significant coaching experience in a sports performance setting, including internships or previous employment working with athletic populations.

  • Helpful education and certifications of which its methods are often used at TALO: Functional Range Systems (FRC & FRA), EXOS Performance Specialist (XPS), USA Weightlifting (USAW Lvl1-2).

Compensation

Performance Coaches pay is based on availability and ranges from $25-$40/hour.

Alternative pay structures and range is negotiable based on experience and scope of position.

Independent Physical Therapist

Description

The Physical Therapist/Performance Rehab Specialist is responsible for performing objective injury evaluations and diagnostics, develop treatment plans including manual therapies and exercise, monitor rehabilitation progress, and collaborate with Performance Coaching staff to provide guidance over the continuous sports performance development of TALO athletes.

TALO provides resources including athlete manage systems (Bridge Athletic), sports science equipment (Vald), and a variety of exercise and rehab equipment at its facility.

Requirements

Current OR State Board Certification/License (DPT or ATC)

Significant experience in sports injuries rehabilitation and Return-to-Play processes.

Compensation

The independent Physical Therapist compensation is based on Physical Therapy services revenue and ranges between $40-$60/hr.

Alternative pay structures and range is negotiable based on experience and scope of position.
